With more than 47 years’ experience, completed projects include sporting stadiums, automobile dealerships, financial institutions, office parks, shopping malls, warehouses, hotels, small and large scale housing developments, distribution hubs and filling stations and numerous renovation as heritage projects.

The Partners
Jean P van Zyl
Jean P van Zyl joined then Frik Jankowitz Quantity Surveyors in 1977 after obtaining his Bsc QS degree at UOVS. In 1979 Jean bacame a partner within the firm after registering as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveyors Profession. Jean is also a registered Professional Valuer at the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession.
As the senior partner in the company, Jean has over 40 years experience in the quantity surveying and contracts administration industry in a wide range of commercial, retail and residential projects
Philip Holliday
Philip started his career at Jankowitz van Zyl Quantity Surveyors in his second year of studies at the University of the Free State. He obtained his Bsc QS Honours degree at UOVS in 2008, and registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor in 2013.
Philip is a professional registered member at both the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors and the South African Council for the Quantity Surveyors Profession. Philip became partner at the firm in March 2014 and is experienced in quantity surveying and contracts administration in a wide range of commercial, retail and residential and hospitality projects.
Gian Wolfaardt
Gian joined the firm in 2008 during his third year of studies at the University of the Free State and obtained his Bsc QS degree at UOVS in 2009. Registering as as a Professional Quantity Surveyor in 2013, Gian became partner at the firm in 2014.
Gian is a registered professional member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors and the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession, and is experienced in a wide range of institutional, commercial, retail, and residential buildings throughout South Africa.
